Educational opportunities in 2019

The Cartagena International Music Festival will offer once again a Master Class program as well as a Young Talents recital.

Applications for both programs will be accepted starting May 29, 2018. Currently, these opportunities are targeted at colombians who have excelled in their fields as music students, teachers or young interpreters.

Thanks to the support of private sponsors, the Festival offers scholarships to close to 40 participants who gain access to the Master Classes following a rigorous selection process.

Meanwhile, four artists are selected on average as Young Talents to present one of the most Festival’s most admired recitals. Thanks to the support of Julio Mario & Beatrice Santo Domingo, this oppotunity contributes to its participants’ international projection.

In the second semester, a limited amount of openings may be available for people from other parts of the world who may wish to access the Master Classes as observers or as non-scholarship active participants.

Those in the second category must be musicians or music students, who comply with different prerequisites.
